Manual adjustment function
The steering column can be adjusted manually by means of the steering column adjustment switch (S59).
The adjustment requirements are transmitted from the steering column module (N80) via CAN-B (CAN-B).
The driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) actuates the steering column adjustment motor group (M20) accordingly.
Memory adjustment function
Via the memory switches 1, 2, 3 (S91/2s14) the steering column can be adjusted to a position previously stored in the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).
The left front door control unit (N69/1) reads in the left front door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) and places the signals for adjustment request on the CAN-B (CAN-B).
The driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) actuates the steering column adjustment motor group (M20) accordingly.
In parallel with this the driver seat and outside mirrors are adjusted corresponding to their stored position.
