Solar Sensor: Description and Operation

The sun sensor measures the intensity and direction of the sun radiation.

The sun sensor records the intensity and direction of the sun's rays in 4 quadrants and passes on the measured value to the AAC pushbutton control module via the air conditioning bus. Based on this information the AAC pushbutton control module adapts the outlet temperatures and the blower speed. By recording the intensity and direction of the sun's rays in 4 quadrants the air outlet temperature can be controlled separately for the left and right side.
