AZ82.60-P-0006-02QA Retrofit Satellite Radio Antenna
1 Disconnect all connectors (see arrows) of on-board antenna wiring harness (90).
On vehicles with model year 2006 (code 806) , there is a connector at the bottom of the side piece (see enlarged detail). On vehicles with model year 2007 (code 807) , all connectors are in the bracket for the antenna connectors.
2 Disconnect ground connection of on-board antenna wiring harness (90) from ground (right wheelhouse in luggage compartment) (W7).
3 Detach wiring harness attachments (92) of on-board antenna wiring harness (90) from weld stud.
3 Disconnect all connectors of on-board antenna wiring harness (90) from GPS/telephone antenna (3) and radio antenna (4).
4 Detach rubber guide (91) of on-board antenna wiring harness (90) from trunk lid and rear fender.
5 Remove on-board antenna wiring harness (90) through opening in trunk lid and rear fender.
The on-board antenna wiring harness (90) is no longer required.
6 Detach expansion rivet (see arrow) from GPS/telephone antenna (3).
7 Move GPS/telephone antenna (3) from center to left antenna position as per picture and secure using expansion rivet (see arrow).
8 Install SDAR antenna (2) at center antenna position as per picture and secure using expansion rivet (see arrow).
Component Identification:
9 Fit SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) through opening in trunk lid and rear fender as per picture.
10 Insert rubber guide (71) into openings in trunk lid and rear fender as per picture.
Make sure that the rubber tab on the rubber guide (71) is positioned in the notch in the trunk lid opening (see arrows in enlarged detail).
11 Connect radio antenna connector (73) and antenna connector for radio antenna (74) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to radio antenna (4) as per picture.
12 Connect antenna connector for SDAR antenna (75) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to SDAR antenna (2) as per picture.
13 Connect antenna connector for telephone antenna (76) and antenna connector for GPS antenna (77) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to GPS/telephone antenna (3) as per picture.
14 Secure SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) in trunk lid as per picture using cable ties attached to SDAR antenna wiring harness (70).
15 Install SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) in luggage compartment as per picture and secure to weld stud using wiring harness attachments (72).
16 Connect ground connection (78) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to ground (right wheelhouse in luggage compartment) (W7) as per picture.
17 Connect antenna plug for radio antenna (79) and radio antenna plug (80) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to counterparts of on-board wiring harnesses as per picture and fit in bracket for antenna connectors.
18 Connect antenna plug for SDAR antenna (81) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to antenna connector (7) of antenna extension line (8) as per picture and fit in bracket for antenna connectors.
19.1 Vehicles with antenna splitter
Connect antenna plug for GPS antenna (82) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to GPS antenna splitter as per picture.
19.2 Vehicle without antenna splitter
Connect antenna plug for GPS antenna (82) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to counterpart of on-board wiring harness and fit in bracket for antenna connectors.
20 Connect antenna plug for telephone antenna (83) of SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) to counterpart of on-board wiring harness.
On vehicles with model year 2006 (code 806) , the counterpart of the on-board wiring harness for the antenna plug for the telephone antenna (83) of the SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) is at the bottom of the side piece (see enlarged detail).
The connector with the antenna plug for the telephone antenna (83) of the SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) must be secured at the bottom of the side piece (see enlarged detail).
On vehicles with model year 2007 (code 807) , the counterpart of the on-board wiring harness for the antenna plug for the telephone antenna (83) of the SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) is in the bracket for the antenna connectors. The connector with the antenna plug for the telephone antenna (83) of the SDAR antenna wiring harness (70) must be fitted in the bracket for the antenna connectors.
