GF82.70-P-2000QA Activating/Accepting Call, Function
- with CODE (813) Voice control system (VCS)

Component Identification:

The voice recognition of the voice control system (VCS) is activated via the digital data bus by operating the VCS switch (S93/2) towards the driver (D2B).
This is integrated into the voice control system control unit (A35/11). At the same time this activates the entire VCS and the user is informed of this by an acoustic signal (audible beep). When the VCS is in input mode the hands-free system and along with it the muting of the radio component of the respective audio system fitted in the vehicle is active in order to guarantee as undistorted user input as possible. As of this point in time voice commands are available to the user which enable him to connect the hands- free system microphone (B25) with the components of the respective communication system or audio system fitted in the vehicle and to control these via the voice commands input.

If a voice command is not performed instantly the hands-free system microphone (B25) is switched more sensitive. If there is still no voice command, the VCS [voice control system] is deactivated after approx. t = 15 seconds.

Receiving a phone call
On vehicles with multifunction steering wheel (MFL) an incoming telephone call is accepted via the accept/terminate phone call button (S111s3). As with the activation of the VCS the muting of the radio component of the respective audio system fitted in the vehicle is also active here in order to bring about as undistorted a user's voice input as possible. There is then the option of taking the phone call received using the hands-free system microphone (B25). In the process the voice output of the VCS takes place via the speakers permanently installed in the vehicle.
