The left rear power window motor (M10/5) and the right rear power window motor (M10/6) are DC motors which can turn clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the polarity of the armature voltage. Both are protected against overheating by a temperature protection switch They are equipped with 2 Hall sensors each for position recognition.

The rear control module (N22/6) (on model 209.3) or the power soft top control module (N52) (on model 209.4) actuates the s left rear power window motor (M10/5), the right rear power window motor (M10/6) and evaluates the Hall sensor signals
