GF82.30-P-4007Q Slowing Down Wiper Motor, Function

Function
Following the completion of a wiping cycle, the wipers must come to a stop in the park position.

The wiper motor (M6/1) has a cam switch for detection of the park position. When the motor runs through the park position, the cam switch is actuated.
The signal from the cam switch (circuit 31b) is queried continuously by the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

Prerequisites for stopping the wiper motor
The wiper motor M6/1) is stopped only when
^ The wiper motor is switched off (combination switch (S4) in position "0") or
^ Intermittent wiping is switched on (combination switch (S4) in position "1") and wipers currently in intermittent pause.
^ Afterwiping is complete.

Stopping wiper motor
To stop the wiper motor, the wiper ON/OFF relay (N10/1kQ ) is switched off by the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
Shutting off this relay (polarized) leads to:
^ the connection circuit 53 of the wiper motor (M6/1) being disconnected from the voltage supply (circuit 15R) and being connected to the brake output of the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
^ the brake output being connected to ground via an electronic switch of the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1). As a result of this, the wiper motor is short-circuited and
^ the motor is stopped due to this short circuit (eddy current dynamometer).

Discontinuation of deceleration operation
The stopping operation is discontinued when:
^ An intermittent pause has elapsed,
^ The combination switch is moved to position "2" or "3" or
^ Circuit 15R is switched off.
