GF82.62-P-3106-04TU Rear Window Antennas, Function
- with CODE (528) HIGH Class USA

The high-frequency (HF) vibrations of the electrical fields in the air are converted into a high-frequency AC voltage in an electrical conductor.

A standing electrical wave is formed in the antenna as a result of the correct matching of the length of the antenna to the wavelength of the frequency to be received In this case, the amplitude of the RF signal has a constant value at a random point of the antenna. The RF signal level is at the maximum at the connection point.
A deviation in the antenna length in relation to the optimum length leads to a reduction of the RF signal level at the antenna output.

If the deviation is too large, no further HF signal is received (e.g. if the antennae are connected to the antenna amplifier incorrectly).

The telephone antenna (A2/49a1) (model 211.0) and GPS antenna (A2/49a2) (model 211.0) or the telephone antenna (A2/22) (model 211.2) and the GPS antenna (A2/23) (model 211.2), on the upper part of the rear window, are active antennae. Both antennae are supplied with power by the telecommunications control unit (N112). One antenna cable is required per antenna.
