- except CODE (924) Bivalent natural gas drive
- except CODE (596) Heat-insulating glass
Risk of breakage: Do not kink or stretch fiber optic cables and do not route them over sharp edges. The bending radius must not be smaller than 25 mm. Clamps or tie straps for securing the fiber optic cables must not be fastened tightly.
Component Identification:
1 Unclip covering (14) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) in direction of arrow.
Covering (14) no longer needed.
2 Release locking lug (15) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and remove fiber optic cable module of MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) from fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
The fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) is no longer required.
3 Remove dust excluder (24) of optical conductor connector sleeve (Z35/11).
Dust excluder (24) no longer required.
Component Identification:
Component Identification:
The MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) is routed forward starting from the left of the luggage compartment.
4 Insert black, 4-pin coupling (6) from auto pilot system wiring harness (1) into black, 6-pin coupling housing (8) of MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7).
Coupling housing (8) is from audio gateway control unit (N93/1). An arrow is located at the side of the black, 4-pin coupling (6). This corresponds to the direction of installation into the coupling housing (8).
5 Connect black, 6-pin coupling (8) to audio gateway control unit (N93/1).
6 Fasten MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) as shown in the picture onto left wheelhouse to existing lines.
The green color coding on the MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) must line up with the green color coding of the standard wiring harness
7 Route MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) further to cable duct in left rear footwell.
8 Expose the on-board fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) in the area of the left rear door cable duct.
There are two MOST fiber optic cable connectors.
A number is printed at the end of each fiber optic cable module.
9 Unclip covering (14) of both on-board fiber optic cable connectors (MOST) (X39/50) in direction of arrow.
10 Determine which fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) contains an on-board fiber optic cable module with the number XX1 or number 4.
11 Release locking lug (15) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and remove on-board fiber optic cable module with number XX1 or with number 4 from fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
The on-board fiber optic cable module with number XX1 or number 4 is no longer required and is to be strapped down in the cable duct.
12 Install fiber optic cable module with number XX1 of fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) into free plug position of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
13 Determine which fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) contains an on-board fiber optic cable module with the number 14.
14 Release locking lug (15) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and remove on-board fiber optic cable module with number 14 from fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
The on-board fiber optic cable module with number 14 is no longer required and is to be strapped down in the cable duct.
15 Install fiber optic cable module with number 20 of fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) into free plug position of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
16 Clip on covering (14) of both on-board fiber optic cable connectors (MOST) (X39/50) in direction of arrow.
17 Insert fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) into cable duct in area of left rear door.
There are two MOST fiber optic cable connectors.
18 Route MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) further into left cable duct in left front footwell.
19 Route MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) from left footwell cable duct along on-board wiring harnesses to the radio recess and fasten in place.
20 Route excess length of MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) to form a loop as shown in the picture in the area of the A-pillar and fasten in place using felt tape.
21 Insert black, 2-pin coupling (25) from MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) into attached, black, 6-pin coupling housing (8).
22 Insert black, 4-pin coupling (6) of auto pilot system wiring harness (1) into black coupling housing (8).
An arrow is located at the side of the black, 4-pin coupling (6). This corresponds to the direction of installation into the coupling housing (8).
