Component Identification:

Function
The washer nozzle heater and the washer nozzle hose heater are automatically switched on if:
^ Circuit 61 ON (engine running) and
^ an outside temperature of less than 5 °C is detected.

Switch off is accomplished automatically when:
^ Term. 61 OFF (motor OFF) or
^ an outside temperature of greater than 8 °C is detected.

Actuation of heating elements
The washer nozzle heater and the washer nozzle hose heater are actuated by the driver-side SAM control unit.

Model 211.2 only
The tailgate washer nozzle heater is actuated by the rear-end door control unit.

In the event of missing or implausible values (outside temperature, circuit 61) the heating elements are not actuated.
