- except CODE (550) Trailer hitch







1. Install chrome strips (2) on left and right on bumper (1).
2. Glue heavy foil (5) to bumper (1) in center as shown in picture.

Heavy foil (5) must be glued flush with stay (6) on bumper (1).

3. Clip four brackets (7) for Parktronic sensors (4) into bumper (1)..







Two various types of Parktronic sensors can be installed (Parktronic sensors 3.0 and 4.0). When using Parktronic sensors 3.0 it is necessary to rework in the mount in the bumper (1) for the bracket (7) (see black surface in center picture).







4. Install inner center section (8) in bumper (1).

Do not yet clip inner center section (8) into retaining lugs (see arrows).

5. Fasten inner center section (8) in bumper (1) with bolts (9) on left and right.
6. Clip left/right inner section (10) into bumper (1) on left and right.

Left/right inner section (10) are various for left and right side.







Vehicles with Parktronic system (PTS) code 220a

7. Install decoupling ring (12) on Parktronic sensors (4).
8. Clip Parktronic sensors (4) into bracket (7).

The electrical connections for the Parktronic sensors (4) must all point to the left.

9. Slide grommets (11) over electrical connectors on Parktroninc sensors (4).
10. Then connect electrical connectors to Parktronic sensors (4) and install grommets (11) above Parktronic sensors (4).
11. Route Parktronic system wiring harness (13) below inner section (8) and clip in inner section (see arrows).

Vehicles without Parktronic system (PTS) code 220a

12. Clip inner section (8) into bumper (1) (see arrows).

Vehicles with Keyless Go Code 889

13. Fasten rear bumper antenna (A2/31) on bumper with bolts (15) and aluminum rivet (14).
14. Connect electrical connector on wiring harness (13) to rear bumper antenna (A2/31).







Vehicles with Parktronic system (PTS) code 220a and/or Keyless Go, code 889

15. Fasten wiring harness (13) to bumper (1) with cable strap (16) (see enlarged detail).
16. Fasten wiring harness to bumper (1) with cable tie (arrows).
17. Fasten bracket (17, 18) to bumper (1) on left and right with aluminum rivet (14).

Ensure, that the seal washer (19) is installed on the bracket (18).

18. Glue intermediate layers (20) to bumper on left and right (1).

Intermediate layers (20) are different for the left and right side.

19. Fasten guide rails (21) to bumper (1) on left and right with plastic rivet (22).

Guide rails (21) are different for left and right side







20. Clean contact surface for paneling (23) on bumper (1).

The area on the bumper (1) to be glued must be free of dust and grease. For cleaning use mixture of IPA (Isopropanol alcohol) and water with a ratio of 50 : 50.

21. Position paneling (23) in center in end pipe cutouts, glue into embossment and press on firmly over entire surface.
