The NECK-PRO head restraint triggering device is located behind the electronic selector lever module control unit on the center tunnel.

Task
The NECK-PRO head restraint triggering device activates the driver NECK-PRO head restraint solenoid (Y24/12) and the front passenger NECK-PRO head restraint solenoid (Y24/13) in the event of a rear end collision.

Design
The NECK-PRO head restraint triggering device contains a sensor that registers the acceleration of the vehicle in the event of a rear end collision.

Function
The integral sensor registers the acceleration of the vehicle in the event of a rear end collision and triggers the solenoids when a defined limit value is exceeded.
