Removal and Replacement

AR46.10-P-0600-10I Detaching and attaching mounting on jacket tube
- with CODE (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)

Component Identification:

Detaching
1 Unclip fore/aft motor connector (M20x1). To do so, press lug (arrow) to left.

Component Identification:

2 Loosen bolts (87d) of clamp nuts (87e) and unscrew clamp nuts (87e).
3 Remove bolts (87d) with pilot bushings.
4 Remove upper bracket (71e) and mounting console (87).

Attaching
5 Fit mounting console (87) and upper bracket (71e).
6 Insert bolts (87d) and pilot bushings.

Check pilot bushings, replace if necessary.

7 Screw on clamp nuts (87e) and fit bolts (87d) of clamp nuts (87e).

The smooth surface of the clamp nut (87e) must point outwards.

8 Tighten bolts (87d), loosen again then retighten, observing the specified tightening torques.
9 Tighten bolts of clamp nuts (87e).
10 If the gearing was removed before the height adjustment motor, then the steering column tube must be aligned. Tighten the bolts (60a) on the right-hand side. Press the left side slightly to the right above the spring (arrow) using a screwdriver and tighten bolts (60a).
11 Clip in fore/aft motor connector (M20x1).
