GF80.20-P-3005R Lock With Transmitter Key, Function

Component Identification:

Function
When the "Lock vehicle" transmit button is pressed, the transmitter key sends a radio and infrared signal to the relevant receiver in the vehicle.
The radio signal is transmitted to the overhead control panel control unit via the right antenna amplifier module. It transmits it to the EIS control unit via CAN B bus.
The infrared signal is read by the IR receiver and is transmitted by the door control unit to the EIS control unit via CAN B bus. The EIS control unit checks the access authorization of the transmitter key. If the access authorization is valid, the EIS control unit transmits the "Lock" command to the pneumatic control unit via CAN B bus.

The pneumatic control unit actuates the pneumatic actuators to lock.
The following components are locked:
^ Doors
^ Fuel filler flap
^ Trunk lid
^ Stowage compartments (glove compartment, right and left rear box and center console stowage compartment).

Locking is indicated by all turn signal lamps flashing momentarily three times

The following interior switches are deactivated:
^ 'Unlock CL [ZV]' interior switch (S6/5s2)
^ 'Lock CL [ZV]' interior switch and ATA function indicator (S6/5s3)
^ Remote opening trunk lid switch (S15)

When the driver door is opened during locking with transmitter key, only the passenger door is locked, regardless of whether it is open or closed.

Auxiliary door lock (on United Kingdom vehicles)
The auxiliary door lock switches off the mechanical inner actuation so that it is no possible to open a door from the inside. This prevents breaking in into the vehicle by smashing in a window and opening a door from inside
The auxiliary door lock is activated when the interior protection is actuated and the vehicle is locked.
