Operation Of RTR With Remote Control Key, Function:

The following functions are described in the description of functions:
- Opening of the trunk lid with the remote control key
- Opening trunk lid with the remote trunk release switch (S15) at drivers door.

Whether these functions can be used to open the trunk lid depends on the state of the central locking system. Irrespective of this, the trunk lid can be locked and unlocked with the mechanical key and, consequently, can be opened separately without changing the CL status.

NOTE: Emergency opening of trunk lid (USA)

- By pressing the trunk lid emergency opening switch (S88/10), it is possible to open the trunk lid from the inside of the trunk in an emergency (e.g. persons trapped). The pneumatic control module with combined functions (A37) reads in the switch voltage-coded and opens the trunk lid pneumatically irrespective of whether the trunk lid was closed manually or whether the vehicle was locked centrally.
