GF80.20-P-4012R Relocking, Function

The relocking function prevents the vehicle from remaining unlocked, when the transmitter key (A8/1) has been actuated erroneously.
After the vehicle is unlocked with the transmitter key, a waiting time of 40 s starts.
After the waiting time has expired, the vehicle is locked again if
^ a door,
^ the trunk lid or
^ the 'unlock CL [SV]' interior switch (S6/5s2) is actuated previously or
^ the 'lock CL [ZV]' interior switch and ATA function display (S6/5s3) is actuated or
^ the transmitter key is inserted into the key opening in the EIS control unit (N73).

The status of the doors and the trunk lid is read in by the rear SAM control unit via the left door contact switch (S17/3), the right door contact switch (S17/4) and the locking pawl rotary tumbler switch (S88/4) N10/8.
The status of the interior CL switch is read in by the lower control panel control unit (N72).
These signals are evaluated by the PSE control unit (combined) (A37) via the controller area network bus, Class B (interior compartment) (CAN B) as master of this function.

If the "Unlock vehicle" button on the transmitter key is pressed again before the waiting time has expired, then the waiting time is reset and restarted.
The automatic relocking function also activates the anti-theft alarm system (ATA).
