Receiving Remote Control Signal, Function

Remote control radio signal
The remote control radio signal is received via the windshield antenna. The receiver in the right antenna amplifier module (A2/65) converts the radio signal into a data signal. The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives this data signal via a data line.

Infrared signal
The infrared signal is received by the left front IR receiver (A26/1), or by the right front IR receiver (A26/2) and read out by the left door control module (N69/1) or the right door control module (N69/2).

The access authorization code and the remote control command contained in the signal, are forwarded as a CAN message to the EIS control module (N73). The EIS control module (N73) verifies the code for access authorization and transmits the corresponding command via the CAN data bus provided the code was correct.
