Backup Lamp Actuation, Function






Operational sequence
1 Basic prerequisite:
- The electronic key in the ignition/starter switch is in position "2".
- The selector lever of the electronic shift lever module control module (N15/5)and the automatic transmission (N15/6) is set to "R".
2 The electronic shift lever module control module (N15/5) and automatic transmission (N15/6) signals "Reverse gear engaged" to the EIS control module (N73) via the data bus (2).
3 The EIS control module (N73) transforms the signal and signals "Reverse gear engaged" to the rear SAM control module via the passenger compartment CAN bus.
4 The rear SAM control module actuates the reversing lamp in the left and right taillamps (E3e3 and E4e3).
