Xenon Headlamp Control Module, Location/Purpose

Purpose
Xenon lamp control
The xenon headlamp control module (E1n1, E2n1) activates the xenon headlamp ignition unit (E1n2, E2n2) via the control voltage and controls the power to the xenon lamps.

Dynamic headlamp range control
The xenon headlamp control module in the left headlamp evaluates the signals from the chassis control module as well as from the headlamp range control motors. It controls the headlamp range control motors depending on the vehicle load, driving state and position of the headlamps.
