AN82.70-P-0002-03R Retrofit Telephone Cable Harness

1 Prepare telephone wiring harness (1) and microphone wiring harness (3) as shown in figure.

Component Identification:

2 Route telephone wiring harness (1) and microphone wiring harness (3) along present lines in vehicle as shown in figure.

Component Identification:

3 Route branch-off lines of TEL circuit 15C separation point (X39/40) and branch-off lines of D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13) from telephone wiring harness (1) on the transmission tunnel as per the picture.







4 Route telephone wiring harness tie-out (1) to rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) with red/black (rt/sw) lead and fasten.
5 Insert fuse carrier with 7.5 A fuse into plug position 76 for fuse 76 (K40/5f76) of the rear fuse and relay module (K40/5).

Plug position 76 for fuse 76 (K40/5f76) is marked in gray.







6 Route telephone wiring harness (1) along present leads as shown in figure and fasten.
7 Connect brown (br) lead of telephone wiring harness (1) to frame ground (W30).
8 Route branch-off line for antenna line (A) from telephone wiring harness (1) along existing lines through opening (arrows) into left luggage compartment and fix in position.







9 Route antenna lead (A) in trunk along present leads and fasten.
10 Disconnect present antenna lead from telephone antenna (A2/22) and tie back (is no longer required).
11 Connect telephone antenna connector (X1/4) for antenna lead (A) to telephone antenna (A2/22).







12 Route telephone wiring harness (1) to A-pillar in left wiring duct.







13 Insert blue/black (bl/sw) lead of telephone wiring harness (1) into chamber 3 of present wake-up signal/diagnosis distributor connector (X30/14).
14 Insert yellow/red (ge/rt) lead of telephone wiring harness (1) into chamber 7 of present wake-up signal/diagnosis distributor connector (X30/14).
15 Connect connector housing for circuit 15R/58d connector (X39/29) from telephone wiring harness (1) with present connector.







16 Route microphone wiring harness (3) from telephone wiring harness (1) along existing lines along the A-pillar to the overhead control panel and fix in position.

Tie back any excessive lengths in the left cable duct.
