Opening Trunk Lid With Remote Control Key, Function

When the "Open trunk lid" button is pressed, the remote control key (A8/1) sends a radio and infrared signal to the relevant receivers in the vehicle. These receive the signal and transmit its content in the form of a CAN message to the EIS [EZS] control module (N73). The EIS [EZS] control module (N73) checks the access authorization. If the access authorization is issued, the EIS control module (N73) transmits the command to open the trunk lid to the pneumatic control module with combined functions (A37), via the passenger compartment CAN. The pneumatic control module with combined functions (A37) opens the trunk lid lock pneumatically provided the trunk lid lock is not locked by the lock cylinder having been turned to the 90 degrees position.

NOTE: The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is only partially deactivated.
