Component Identification:

The following functions are described in the description of functions:
^ Opening of the trunk lid with the remote control key
^ Opening trunk lid with the remote trunk release switch (S15) at driver's door.

Whether these functions can be used to open the trunk lid depends on the state of the central locking system. Irrespective of this, the trunk lid can be locked and unlocked with the mechanical key and, consequently, can be opened separately without changing the CL status

Emergency opening of trunk lid (United States Of America)
By pressing the trunk lid emergency opening switch (S88/10), it is possible to open the trunk lid inside from the of the trunk emergency in an (e.g. persons trapped). The pneumatic control module with combined functions (A37) reads in the switch voltage-coded and opens the trunk lid pneumatically irrespective of whether the trunk lid was closed manually locked or whether the vehicle was centrally.
