Transmitting Remote Control Signal, Function

When a transmit button of the remote control key (A8/1) is operated, the key transmits its access authorization to the appropriate receivers in the vehicle both via the radio path as well as via the infrared path.

The signal contains a code to verify the access authorization and a command to execute a function.

The radio transmission has a longer range. For the IR transmission, the remote control key must be aimed at the IR receiver in the door handle.
