Pushbutton Assignments At Remote Control Key:
The remote control key consists of an electronic component and a mechanical key. The electronic component contains an FM radio transmitter, an infrared transmitter and receiver, a computer chip, the control buttons and two button cells (batteries).
Operating the remote control key (A8/1) produces the following vehicle states:
- Globally unlocking (complete vehicle),
- Selective unlocking (driver's door, fuel filler flap),
- Global locking
NOTE: It is possible to set the remote control key for "global "or "selective" unlocking when it is first operated.
The turn signal lamps will flash once when the "unlock" signal is received in either selective or global mode.
The turn signal lamps flash three times when the "lock" signal is received.
NOTE: When the trunk is opened using the remote control, the central locking remains inactive (no unlocking). The interior CL [ZV] switch is not enabled and the vehicle is not unlocked. Once the trunk lid has been closed, it can only be opened by again operating a pushbutton or the key.
