Function
The inside rearview mirror (A67) and the mirror dimming (M21/1h1) are dimmed in increments depending on the actuating voltage supplied.

Operating procedure
The electronic circuitry in the inside rearview mirror (A67) measures the ambient light in the mirror housing with mirror dimming sensor pointing toward the front and the light hitting the mirror glass with the mirror dimming sensor pointing toward the rear.

The inside rearview mirror (A67) evaluates this input values, dims the inside rearview mirror (A67) and transmits the dimming information to the overhead control panel control module (N70).The overhead control panel control module (N70) transmits this message to the left door control module (N69/1).
