GF40.15-P-2004R Detection of Rapid Pressure Loss, Function

GF40.15-P-2004R Detection of rapid pressure loss, function
- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor

Function
Driving safety is no longer guaranteed in the event of a rapid pressure loss. The driver is advised to stop and check the condition of the tires immediately. It is the driver's responsibility to decide whether to continue the journey at low speed as far as the nearest garage or whether an on-the-spot repair is necessary (mounting the spare wheel or using TIREFIT).

If the TPM [RDK] control unit (N88) detects that a rapid pressure drop (pressure loss > 0.2 bar/minute) exists at a wheel, a "hard warning " follows (display color: "red").

The "hard warning" is displayed in the same ignition sequence. A "soft warning" follows in the next ignition sequence. The "soft warning", if no reactivation of the system follows, is repeated for approx. 30 seconds each time the engine is started and then goes out again.
