GF72.29-P-3007R Automatic Raising/Lowering of Power Windows, Function

GF72.29-P-3007R Automatic Raising/Lowering Of Power Windows, Function
- up to model year 08

Function requirements:
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Circuit 15 ON or circuit 15R ON
^ Power windows in synchronized condition (for automatic raising)
^ Function not locked in version coding
^ Correct direction of rotation of power window motor
^ No faulty hall sensors

Automatic raising/lowering (Vario roof closed)
Front door windows

This function is activated by briefly operating a power window switch beyond the 1st detent point in the "Closing" or "Opening" direction. The corresponding left door control module (N69/1) or right door control module (N69/2) reads in the switch status and actuates the relevant left front power window motor (M10/3) or right front power window motors (M10/4).

As of 1.6.02 the power window switch is pulled and held in automatic position. Then the manual raising is activated without excess force limitation (EFL).Only when releasing the switch, the automatic raising is activated again with EFL.

Rear windows
Only the automatic lowering or the manual raising is possible for the rear windows. The rear side windows can only be opened or closed, if the front side windows are fully opened or closed. The same switches are operated as for the front windows. It is of no importance, if the switches are pressed or pulled to the 1st or 2nd detent.
The request for automatic lowering is read-in by the left door control module (N69/1) or right door control module (N69/2) and transmitted to the RVC control module (N52) as CAN message. The left rear power window motor (M10/5) and/or the right rear power window motor (M10/6) are then operated by the RVC control module (N52).

Automatic raising/lowering (Vario roof opened)
The switches are operated in the same way as for Vario roof closed.

As of 1.6.02 both windows are simultaneously lowered, if the soft top is opened and the request is to open the window.

The front and rear windows are automatically opened with a (time offset of about 80 ms). The closing operation of the front and rear side windows is the same as for a closed Vario roof.

Power window motors
The power window motors are actuated until the corresponding control module has recognized the position of the window as beingfully closed or opened.

Function abort
The automatic raising/lowering function is interrupted under the following conditions:
^ The power window switch is again operated
^ The obstruction sensor is activated when raising (only on front door windows).
^ The function prerequisites are no longer fulfilled.

If the windows are not synchronized, the automatic raising/ lowering function is replaced by the manual raising/lowering function.
