GF82.70-P-3107-02QU Telephone Interface, Function
- with CODE (854) MB portable cellular telephone
A PSE box (Portable Support Electronic) is used as the telephone interface (A34/4) which makes the connection between the optical D2B Ring and the portable CTEL (A34/6).
The two-way radio signals are passed from the portable CTEL A34/6) to the E-net compensator (A28/3). This amplifies the signal and then sends it to the telephone antenna (A2/22).
The telephone interface (A34/4) is wired directly to the portable CTEL mount for voltage supply and signal transmission.
Data coming from the D2B are passed on with the aid of discrete data lines to the portable CTEL mount via the telephone interface (A34/4). In this way data (e.g. dial telephone number, ON or OFF) is transferred by the telephone interface (A34/4) to the portable CTEL (A34/6).
Vice versa the data (caller's voice, control data) are transmitted from the telephone interface (A34/4) in an appropriate D2B format and passed on to the operating unit for further processing.
The telephone interface (A34/4) converts electrical pulses into optical pulses.
Switching on and off characteristics
Initialized by the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3) or radio (A2), the telephone interface (A34/4) is switched on or off via a discrete wake-up line. In the process it responds to the reducing voltage (the level is max. 5 V on standby) and the duration of the wake-up signal.
During the switching-off of the D2B ring, the telephone interface A34/4) and portable CTEL (A34/6) are switched off after a run-on time of 30 seconds.
Incoming calls can still be accepted during this run-on time.
