GF82.61-P-3012QMU Destination Guidance, Function
- with CODE (530) COMAND APS USA (with navigation system)

Navigation is understood to mean the preparation and issue of driving recommendations which lead the driver to the desired destination. The prerequisites of destination guidance include:
^ Constant location finding is in operation (takes place automatically).
^ The journey destination has been entered.
^ Route has been calculated.

The navigation processor of the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) compares the route calculation data with continuous position finding data and derives measures for further navigation from this.

A distinction can be made between 2 navigation modes depending on the position of the vehicle:
^ Destination within digitized DVD map area
^ Restricted navigation outside the digitalized DVD map area
