In the event of a repair, the correct MOST wiring harness has to be ordered (see EPC, KG 82) corresponding to the special equipment (SA).
The fiber optical cable module with the correct length from the new MOST wiring harness now has to be connected. The remaining MOST wiring harness is no longer required. A number is printed onto each end of the fiber optical cable module. It has to be compared to the number of the damaged fiber optical cable module.

If the following fiber optical cable module are damaged, no new MOST wiring harness, but an individual fiber optical cable module has to be ordered.
^ Fiber optical cable between radio/COMAND and CD changer
^ Fiber optical cable between hands-free system control unit / voice control system (VCS [SBS]) and telephone control unit
^ Fiber optical cable between navigation processor and TV tuner

The replacement part number can be found in the EPC in the KG 99:
CD changer/designation: electrical line (CD changer adapter to radio)

Component Identification:

The ring sequence of the fiber optical cable for the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) represents the current maximum equipment. If special equipment (SA) is omitted, the respective item is deleted, resulting in a new ring sequence.

The audio gateway control unit (N93/1) performs the master function as the Head Unit.
