Reason for change
Complaint:
Failure of various functions of the door control unit or the door electrical system.
- Total failure of door control unit (door control unit can no longer be diagnosed with DAS)
- Mirror adjustment nonfunctional (mirror glass adjustment and mirror fold function)
- Automatic dimming mirror nonfunctional
- Mirror heater nonfunctional
- Window lifters (manual or automatic) nonfunctional
- Seat adjustment nonfunctional
- Heated seats nonfunctional
- Seat ventilation nonfunctional
- Remote trunk lid release or remote trunk closing with button in door nonfunctional
- Keyless Go nonfunctional
Note:
Just some of the above mentioned items may be nonfunctional
Cause:
The door wiring harness may be broken in the area of the A-pillar.
The cable surpluses that are necessary for when the door is opened may be improperly stowed due to a pocket of foam in the A-pillar.
Remedy:
Install repair wiring harness for door.
It is not necessary to replace the entire interior wiring harness. Remove foam pocket from A-pillar.
