Convenience closing/opening function via transmitter key (A8/1)
All windows and the soft top can be closed or opened by actuating the unlock and lock buttons on the transmitter key (A8/1). The request for convenience closing/opening is transmitted by the left front IR receiver (A26/1) or the right front IR receiver (A26/2) (only United States Of America and Japan ) to the left door control module (N69/1) or the right and door control module (N69/2). It relays the actuation request to the EIS control module (N73) via the CAN class B bus.
When the transmitter key (A8/1) is recognized the EIS control module (N73) transmits the request for "Closing" or "Opening" the window and the soft top to the left door control module (N69/1), t the right door control module (N69/2) and to the soft top actuation control module (N52) via the CAN class B bus.
The left door control module (N69/1) then actuates the left front power window motor (M10/3), the right door control module (N69/2) actuates the right front power window motor (M10/4) in the "closing" or "opening" direction.
The soft top actuation control module (N52) actuates the left rear power window motor (M10/5), the right rear power window motor (M10/6) as well as the soft top actuation hydraulic unit (A7/5) of the soft top in the "closing" or "opening" direction.
The soft top is only opened and closed when all side windows are open. This prevents collisions between the soft top and the side window.
