GF82.10-P-3011Q Backup Lamp Actuation, Function
Component Identification:
Component Identification:
Function requirements:
^ Circuit 15 ON
^ The selector or gearshift lever is in position "R" (reverse gear engaged)
Function with manual transmission
The reversing lamp switch (S16/2) signals to the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) "Reverse gear ON". The front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) signals to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) the CAN message "backup lamp ON" via the interior CAN. The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the backup lamp (E3e3) as well as the backup lamp (E4e3) of the two taillamps.
Function with automated manual transmission, transmission 722.6
The electronic selector lever module control module (N15/5) or automated manual transmission control module (N15/6) send via the engine compartment CAN (CAN C) the CAN message "reverse gear ENGAGED" to the electronic ignition switch control module (N73). This passes on the CAN message via the interior CAN (CAN B) to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the backup lamp (E3e3) of the left taillamp (E3) and backup lamp (E4e3) of the right taillamp (E4).
With code (550) trailer hitch the CAN message "reverse gear ENGAGED" is sent from the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) to the trailer recognition control module (N28/1) which actuates the 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58).
