AR54.10-P-1130P Charge Battery


DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Check condition of battery
2 Remove battery
3 Connect battery charger

CAUTION: Do not reverse polarity. Risk of short circuit

4 Charge battery
- Normal charging: charging current max. 10 % of battery capacity e. g. max. 10 A charging current for a 100 Ah battery.
- Rapid charging: Charging current max. 50 % of battery capacity for 30 minutes: e.g. max. 50 A charging current for a 100 Ah battery.
- Problems with charging battery
- Only for vehicle with mat battery

5 Check battery

NOTE:
Determine findings, if necessary
- Replace battery
- Dispose of battery

6 Disconnect battery charger

CAUTION: Always switch off battery charger beforehand to prevent sparks.

7 Install battery

CAUTION: Connect positive terminal first. Risk of short circuit
