Special Tools:
1 Disconnect coupling housing (56) from plug (55) of power supply line branch-off (52) of SDAR wiring harness (50).
The coupling housing (56) is still required.
2 Disconnect coupling housing (59) from plug (58) of wake-up line branch-off (53) of SDAR wiring harness (50).
The coupling housing (59) is still required.
Component Identification:
3 Disconnect sound amplifier connector (44) and fiber optic cable connector (45) of on-board wiring harness (46) from sound amplifier (A2/13).
4 Open lock (47) of sound amplifier connector (44) of on-board wiring harness (46).
5 Unpin blue/black line (48) of on-board wiring harness (46) from contact cavity 16 of 21-pin sound amplifier connector (44) and pin into contact cavity 1 of coupling housing (59).
6 Pin wake-up pin (57) of wake-up line branch-off (53) of SDAR wiring harness into contact cavity 16 of 21-pin sound amplifier connector (44).
7 Close lock (47) of sound amplifier connector (44) of on-board wiring harness (46).
8 Connect coupling housing (59) to plug (58) of wake-up line branch-off (53) of SDAR wiring harness.
9 Secure connector comprising coupling housing (59) and plug (58), and connector comprising coupling housing (62) and plug (61) of wake-up line branch-off (53) of SDAR wiring harness together to on-board wiring harness (46) using self-adhesive felt as per picture.
The sound amplifier connector (44) and fiber optic cable connector (45) of the on-board wiring harness (46) are connected to the sound amplifier (A2/13) at a later stage after the MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness has been installed.
10 Route wake-up line branch-off (53) of SDAR wiring harness (50) as per picture and secure to body using self-adhesive felt (see arrows).
The wake-up line branch-off (53) is secured together with the MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (20) at a later stage after the MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (20) has been installed.
11 Route ground connection (51) of SDAR wiring harness (50) as per picture, connect to ground (left taillamp in luggage compartment) (W6/1) and secure to on-board wiring harnesses.
12 Route power supply line branch-off (52) of SDAR wiring harness (50) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) in luggage compartment as per picture and secure to on-board wiring harnesses.
Steps 13 and 14 below only need to be carried out for vehicles on which slot 5 on the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is factory-fitted with an on-board 2-pin green connector (64).
13 Disconnect on-board 2-pin green connector (64) from slot 5 of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
14 Unpin on-board red/black line (65) from on-board 2-pin green connector (64) and pin into contact cavity 2 of coupling housing (56).
The on-board 2-pin green connector (64) is no longer required.
15 Connect coupling housing (56) to plug (55) of power supply line branch-off (52) of SDAR wiring harness (50).
16 Connect power supply connector (54) of power supply line branch-off (52) of SDAR wiring harness (50) to slot 5 of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
17 Secure connector comprising coupling housing (56) and plug (55), and power supply line branch-off (52) of SDAR wiring harness (50) to on-board wiring harnesses as per picture.
18 Fit 7.5 amp fuse at fuse slot 16 of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
Depending on the special equipment, a 7.5 amp fuse may already be fitted at fuse slot 16 of the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
19 Route SDAR wiring harness (50) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) to SDAR control unit (1) as per picture and secure to on-board wiring harnesses.
20 Connect connector (63) of SDAR wiring harness (50) to SDAR control unit (1).
