As of Model Year 2005 Equipped with iPod Interface Kit

Instrument Cluster Display Errors, Head Unit Not Retaining Power Status and Possible Positioning Errors In Vehicles Equipped with Navigation System

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles having any of the conditions below, replace the iPod Interface Control Module with the new part number B6 782 4252 by removing the radio and the iPod Interface Module per WIS documents listed below.

1. After starting the vehicle, the Instrument Cluster displays "dashes" (----) in Audio, Navigation or Telephone modes, for example "Audio ---- "or "Navi ----".

2. During active route guidance, the vehicle's actual position does not match what is indicated in the navigation screen.

3. After startup, the head unit does not power ON and requires pressing the power hard key to restart the head unit.

To remove the Audio 20 head unit, refer to WIS document AR82.60-P-7502PA
To remove the COMAND MCSII head unit, refer to WIS document AR82.85-P-7472PA
To remove the iPod Interface Module, refer to WIS document AZ82.60-P-0001-03QA (*refer to Note)
