B. Repair Water Pocket Seam1. Overlap the edges of the water pocket about 1/8".
2. Fix in place from the underside with adhesive tape. Press a temporary fold in seam center with your fingers so that you can easily line up the seam centers when bonding later on.
3. Mask around the bonding surface with adhesive tape and clean the area with alcohol.
4. Mix the U56 adhesive in a 10:1 ratio with the hardener on a flat clean surface, such as on a steel metal plate. The adhesive should be applied within 15 minutes of mixing.
3. Using a brush, coat the adhesive evenly on the cleaned bonding surface.
Drying time for the adhesive is approximately ten minutes.
4. After the adhesive dries, carefully remove the adhesive tape and press the water pocket from the underside.
5. Press the adhesive seam firmly together with your fingers.
The adhesive must cure for at least five hours after bonding. Avoid stressing the area until bonding is complete and consider assembling the soft top on the following workday.
