Component Identification:

1. Draw line.

Measured from the surrounding front-end seam.







2. Fix fastening straps to underside.

Do not cut off the fixing straps.







3. Detach lug (1) from water pocket.

Do not cut off lug (1).

4. Cut off water pocket along line drawn earlier.
5. Make template out of cardboard.

A pattern is included in the water pocket repair kit.







6. Place template under area which was cut out (arrows).

As protection from adhesive residues.







7. Mix adhesive.

Adhesive (2) and hardener (3) are both included in the package. Remove plastic slider and mix components with the package closed.

8. Put adhesive on a clean underlay. Apply adhesive with brush supplied.

9. Coat area of cutout with adhesive.

Observe 5 min. flash-off time.

Operations on water pocket replacement part







10. Place template under new water pocket.
11. Coat area with adhesive.

Observe 5 min. flash-off time.







12. Coat lower area (arrows) with adhesive.

Observe 5 min. flash-off time.

Component Identification:

13. Put on the new water pocket at distance B to the folded seam, see picture, and align with the end pieces of the old water pocket.







15. Press water pocket on.

Pull out the soft top canvas material that was glued over so that the edge of the water pocket is not visible.







16. Set adhesive seam.

Allow adhesive seam to harden for min. 5 hours. Do not apply any stress to the bond.
