E. Connecting the Linear Compensator, MHI Control Module, and Antenna Switch
1. Before mounting the bracket assembly, make the connections for the linear compensator.^ Connect the male FAKRA antenna lead to the linear compensator jack labeled "PORTABLE" (A, Figure 10)
^ Connect the female FAKRA antenna lead to the linear compensator jack labeled "ANTENNA" (B, Figure 10)
^ Connect the power supply connector to the linear compensator (C, Figure 10)
2. Remove the 10 mm nuts from the two rear threaded studs on the floor of the right well of the trunk.
3. Mount the bracket assembly to the two rear studs on the floor of the right well of the trunk with the two 10 mm nuts removed in step 2 (Figure 11).
Note:
The MHI control module must face left and the linear compensator right.
NOTICE!
Cables can position themselves under the bracket assembly during installation. Pinched cables can cause component malfunction or failure.
Do not pinch the cables between the bracket and trunk floor when installing the bracket assembly.
4. Make the connections for the MHI control module.
^ Connect the MHI power supply connector to the MHI control module (A, Figure 12-shows not yet connected)
^ Connect the MHI MOST connector to the MHI control module (B, Figure 12)
5. Make the connections for the antenna switch.
^ Connect the main antenna lead (white, male FAKRA) to the antenna switch jack labeled "ANTENNA" (A, Figure 13)
^ Connect the Tele Aid lead (white, female FAKRA) to the antenna switch jack labeled "LCT" (B, Figure 13)
^ Connect the telephone lead (black, female FAKRA) to the antenna switch jack labeled "BOOSTER" (C, Figure 13)
^ Connect the 4-pin power supply connector to the antenna switch (D, Figure 13)
