Comfort closing via transmitter key

Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ Valid Ident. code via infrared
^ No circuit switched on
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ All doors closed
^ Central locking locked

The comfort closing function is also performed on non-normalized windows

Abort
The comfort closing function is aborted if
^ lock-up is recognized or
^ the request is no longer received via the CAN B bus or
^ the function requirements listed above are no longer satisfied.

Function
Hold "Lock" button on transmitter key (A8/1) down for longer than 1 s (actuate left front IR receiver (A26/1)).

The actuation request is transmitted to the left door control module (N69/1) by the left front IR receiver unit (A26/1) which relays the information to the right door control module (N69/2) and power soft top control module (N52) via CAN class B bus The left front power window motor (M10/3) is actuated by the left door control module (N69/1), the right front power window motor (M10/4) by the right door control module (N69/2).
The left rear power window motor (M10/5) and right rear power window motor (M10/6) are actuated by the power soft top control module (N52)

On vehicles with United States of America or Japan version, the right front IR receiver (A26/2) is also installed. It relays the signal to the right door control module (N69/2).

Obstruction protection
The obstruction sensor function is not active during comfort closing
