GF82.62-P-3123TX Rear Window Antenna Component Description

Component Identification:

Location of rear window antennas
The antennas for AM, FM, TV, and radio remote central locking and the authorization signal of the Keyless Go system are integrated into the rear window and embedded between two glass layers.

Connection to the left antenna amplifier module (A2/64) and right antenna amplifier module (A2/65) is made at the side using connectors.

The antenna system for Keyless Go (code 889) is described in separate documentation.

Task/function of rear window antennas
The rear window antennas have the task of receiving and forwarding the following radio signals:
^ FM
^ AM
^ TV, not for USA version (code 494a)
^ VICS (Vehicle Information Communication System), for Japan version only (code 498)
^ Radio remote central locking (radio remote control)
^ Authorization signal of Keyless Go system (Keyless Go (code 889), not for Japan version (code 498))

Data and voice output are received by converting electromagnetic radio waves into in electrical voltage.

The radio signals for AM, FM, TV1, TV2 and radio remote central locking are received by the antennas and forwarded to the left antenna amplifier module (A2/64).

The radio signals for TV3 and TV4 are also received by the antennas and forwarded to the right antenna amplifier module (A2/65).

For the Audio 20 radio (Code 523) antennas are required for AM and FM only.
