Function
The central locking (CL) includes locking and unlocking the vehicle doors, the trunk lid and the fuel filler flap.

Operation
The central locking system can be operated in various manners:
^ With transmitter key (A8/1)
^ With the interior central locking and ATA function display switch (N72/1s6)
^ By unlocking a vehicle door from inside

The CL cannot be operated with the mechanical key Only the driver's door and the trunk lid can be opened with the mechanical key.
On vehicles with code (551a) anti-theft alarm system (ATA) an alarm is triggered
