Location
The in-car temperature sensor is located below the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73).

Task
The in-car temperature sensor is used to detect the temperature in the lower area of the vehicle interior.

Design
The in-car temperature sensor consists of an aspirator blower and a temperature sensor, which is designed as a heat-sensitive resistor.

Function
The in-car temperature sensor is equipped with an aspirator blower which draws in air required for the temperature measurement out of the vehicle interior. The aspirator blower ensures that the vehicle interior air is constantly circulated at the in-car temperature sensor and thus ensures a high degree of accuracy.

The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (without code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or Comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) directly reads in the in-car temperature sensor and calculates the interior temperature based on the part temperature (lower area of vehicle interior) as determined by the in-car temperature sensor.
