US Service 1 - Every 10,000 Miles or 1 Year



US Service 1
First at 10,000 mi or 1 year; then every 20,000 mi and 2 years

Engine Compartment
- Check catch, safety catch and hinges of engine hood for proper operation.
- Check battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester. (SLK-Class)
- Check auxiliary battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester. (CLS-Class)

Check the following fluid levels, correct if necessary.
If there is a loss of fluid, determine cause and perform repair with separate work order.
- Brake system
- Power steering
- Windshield wipers, washer system

Interior
- Reset service indicator in instrument cluster

Function test
- Horn, warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting
- Windshield wipers, windshield washer system, headlamp cleaning system
- Audible warning system (CLS-Class)
- Check hydraulic unit of Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) (CLS-Class)

Wheels, brakes
- Inspect tires for damage and splits, measure tread depth
- Check front brake pads for lining thickness (remove 1 front wheel)
- Correct tire inflation pressure

Trunk
- Check main battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester. (CLS-Class)
- Check trunk lighting

Vehicle Front/Rear
- Check wiper blade condition
