GF80.20-P-4011T Receive Remote Control Signal, Function
The radio remote signal is received by the rear window antenna (model 211.0) or the antenna in the left rear side window (model 211.2) The receiver in the left antenna amplifier module (A2/64) converts the radio signal into data signals These are evaluated by the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and stored on the passenger compartment CAN bus. The infrared signal is received by the left front IR receiver (A26/1) in the door handle and relayed by the left front door control module (N69/1).
The access authorization code contained in the signal and the remote control command are transmitted to the EIS control module (N73) as CAN message. The EIS control module (N73) checks the code for access authorization. If the code is valid, the EIS control module EZS (N73) transmits the corresponding remote control command to the corresponding control module via the passenger compartment CAN bus.
On United States of America and Japan vehicles, an additional right front IR receiver (A26/2) is installed. This signal is relayed by the right front door control module (N69/2).
