Regulation of Comfort Automatic Air Conditioning, Function

GF83.40-P-2006TT Regulation Of Comfort Automatic Air Conditioning, Function
- with CODE (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning

Component Identification:

Function
The comfort automatic air conditioning is regulated via the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7). This is connected to the vehicle electronics via CAN-B and via LIN. This in turn makes it possible to incorporate additional relevant parameters in order to improve regulation quality and to lower power consumption.

The comfort automatic air conditioning is regulated by providing the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) with the following information:

direct
^ Interior temperature in the knee area from the in-car temperature sensor (B10/4)
^ Temperature on the evaporator from the evaporator temperature sensor (B10/6)

Via CAN-B
^ Ground speed by the instrument cluster (A1)
^ Terminal status from EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
^ Intensity and incidence angle of the sun from the C-AAC [K- KLA] sun sensor (4 in total) (B32/2) via the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
^ Air humidity and pollutant concentration of ambient air from the C-AAC [K-KLA] multifunction sensor (B31) via the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
^ Positions of windows from the door control units (N69/1, N69/2, N69/3 and N69/4)
^ Interior temperature in the head area from the in-car temperature sensor (N70b1) via the overhead control panel control unit (N70)
^ Position of SHD from overhead control panel control unit (N70)
^ Door status from the door contact switches (S17/3, S17/4, S17/5 and S17/6) via the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
^ Outside temperature from the outside temperature display temperature sensor (B14) via the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
^ Up to 31.5.05 refrigerant pressure and temperature from the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor (B12/2) via the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1),
as from 1.6.05 refrigerant pressure from refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) via the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)

Via LIN
^ Specified temperatures of the control panel rear switch group (S81)

The comfort automatic air conditioning is regulated by actuating the following components:

Via CAN-B
by the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
^ Refrigerant compressor (A9)
^ Heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32)
from the passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11)
^ Coolant circulation pump (M13)

Via CAN-C
from the CDI control unit (N3/9) (with diesel engine) or from the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) (with gasoline engine)
^ AAC with integrated control additional fan motor (M4/7)

Via LIN
^ Blower motor (A32m1) via blower regulator (A32n1)
^ for air distribution the:
- fresh air/air recirculation flaps actuator motor (M2/5)
- left blending air flap actuator motor (M2/6)
- right blending air flap actuator motor (M2/7)
- left defroster vent flap actuator motor (M2/8)
- right defroster vent flap actuator motor (M2/9)
- left footwell flap actuator motor (M2/10)
- right footwell flap actuator motor (M2/11)
- left center air flap actuator motor (M2/12)
- right center air flap actuator motor (M2/13)
- left rear blending air flap actuator motor (M16/30)
- right rear blending air flap actuator motor (M16/31)
^ Heater booster (R22/3) (with engine 271, 628, 629, 642, 646, 647, 648)
