GF82.10-P-3009T Hazard Warning Flasher Actuation Function

GF82.10-P-3009T Hazard Warning Flasher Actuation Function

Component Identification:

Function requirements:
^ Hazard warning system switch (N72/1s5) is operated
^ Circuit 30

Function
The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) acquires the applied position of the hazard warning flasher system switch (N72/1s5) and transmits "hazard warning flasher On" to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via CAN class B.

This then actuates the following lamps:
^ Outer left turn signal lamp (E3e1)
^ Inner left turn signal lamp (E3e7) (model 211.0 only)
^ Outer right turn signal lamp (E4e1)
^ Inner right turn signal lamp (E4e7) (model 211.0 only)

The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) transmits signals to the individual control units via CAN class B:
^ The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the left turn signal lamp (E1e5).
^ The passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) actuates the right turn signal lamp (E2e5).
^ The left front door control unit (N69/1) actuates the left outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/5).
^ The right front door control unit (N69/2) actuates the right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6).

The instrument cluster (A1) both visually and audibly indicates the turn signal procedure, by actuating the left turn signal indicator lamp (A1e1) and right turn signal indicator lamp (A1e2) as well as the audible turn signal indicator (A1h2).

The flashing frequency is 1.5 Hz. The flashing cycle differentiates between "circuit 15R ON", 52 to 48 % (ON to OFF) and "circuit 30 ON", 35 to 65 % (ON to OFF).

Hazard warning signals if airbag deployed
In the event of airbag deployment, a "crash signal" is transmitted to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) by the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) via CAN class B. This activates the hazard warning flasher function.
The hazard warning system function is switched off by pressing the hazard warning system switch (N72/1s5) in the upper control panel control unit (N72/1).

For vehicles with code (550) Trailer hitch, the signal "hazard warning On" is transmitted by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) to the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1), which applies the signal "hazard warning On" to the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58).
