GF82.62-P-3106-04TJ Rear Window Antennas, Function
- with CODE (529) HIGH Class Japan

The radio frequency (RF) oscillation of the electrical field in the air is converted into a high frequency AC voltage in an electrical conductor.

A standing electrical wave is formed in the antenna as a result of the correct matching of the length of the antenna to the wavelength of the frequency to be received

In this case, the amplitude of the RF signal has a constant value at a random point of the antenna.
The RF signal level is at the maximum at the connection point. A deviation in the antenna length in relation to the optimum length leads to a reduction of the RF signal level at the antenna output.

If the deviation is too large, no further HF signal is received (e.g. if the antennae are connected to the antenna amplifier incorrectly).

The telephone antenna (A2/22) (model 211.2), the telephone antenna (A2/49a1) (model 211.0) and the GPS antenna (A2/23) (model 211.2), the GPS antenna (A2/49a2) (model 211.0) at the upper part of the rear window are active antennas. Both antennas are supplied with voltage from the E-call control module (N112). One antenna cable is required per antenna.
