DANGER: Wear safety glasses or face mask and cotton gloves. Only trigger squibs when they have been correctly mounted for this purpose. Avoid contact with exiting gases, flames and hot components. Do not inhale or ingest gases and residues or come into contact with them.

Potential risks

Risk of death
When triggering squibs that are not mounted on an extinguishing agent tank intended for this purpose or in a suitable holding device, they could fly around like projectiles and cause serious, life-threatening or deadly injuries.

Risk of injury
When triggering squibs:
^ There is a risk of injury for skin and body parts caused by the detonation shock wave and by particles piercing the skin.
^ There is the risk of burn injuries caused by the exit of hot gasses and flames as well as coming into contact with hot components.
^ Gases and residues are produced which can cause irritation when coming into contact with the respiratory tract, eyes, skin or mucous membranes.

Risk of poisoning
When squibs are triggered, gasses and residues are produced which when inhaled or swallowed can cause symptom of poisoning like coughing, headaches, dizziness and nausea.

Fire hazard
There is the risk of fire caused by the hot gasses and flames produced when triggering squibs near flammable materials.

Safety precautions/instructions
- Do not eat, drink, smoke or keep any foods in the work area.
- Wear safety glasses or face mask and cotton gloves.
- Only trigger squibs after they have been mounted on an extinguishing agent tank intended for this purpose or in a suitable holding device.
- Always keep the squib's opening facing away from the body and not pointed at other people. Maintain a suitable distance of all body parts from the opening.
- Do not inhale or ingest gases and residues or come into contact with them.
- Do not touch hot components.

First aid measures
^ For burns, flush with sufficient amounts of cold water for at least 15 minutes, if necessary, call an ambulance or consult a physician.
^ Always and immediately consult a physician in the case of injuries cased by the detonation shock wave.
^ Flush body areas that have come into contact with combustion residue with a sufficient amount of water and clean area if possible.
^ Persons with symptom of poisoning or irritation of the respiratory paths are to be moved to fresh air and to be kept calm. If necessary, call an ambulance or consult a physician.

Fire protection measures
- Keep work area free of flammable materials.
