Map-assisted location finding (map matching) is only available in the digitized area of the CD-ROM map.
Any deviation can be recognized and corrected automatically by comparing the calculated position of the vehicle with the CD-ROM map.

Operation
The position of the vehicle is followed continuously on the CD-ROM map by the navigation processor of the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3). If the current route deviates from the calculated route, the position coordinates for better location finding are corrected when required.
