Function
The heat exchanger shut-off motor (M16/32) regulates the flow of temperature-controlled coolant to the heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger shut-off motor (M16/32) is controlled by the AAC pushbutton control module (N22) so that there is always a sufficient quantity of temperature-controlled coolant available.

Opening of heat exchanger shut-off motor (M16/32)
^ Regulated when the calculated air outlet temperature on one of the two sides is greater than 5 °C.
^ When starting the defroster function by pressing the defroster button.
^ When starting the REST function by pressing the REST button.

Closing of heat exchanger shut-off motor (M16/32)
^ Regulated when the calculated air outlet temperature on one of the two sides is less than 5 °C.
^ When ON/OFF button pressed
^ when engine is switched off

The air outlet temperature is calculated using the following factors:
^ Outside air temperature
^ Inside-air temperature
^ Set temperature selector
^ Fresh/recirculated air
